Good evening, everyone,

On behalf of the Edmonton Masters Swim Club I would like to thank all of our volunteers who dedicated their time behind the scenes leading up to Provincials and to those who spent the weekend with us to see it through. I would also like to thank the Kinsmen Centre and staff for accommodating us and ensuring that our needs were met before and during the event.

“All-Time” National Rankings 1973-2017

Statsman – Christian Berger has just posted the “All-Time” National Rankings for 1973-2017.  To be in the individual Top Twenty in these rankings, a swim needs to be one of the twenty fastest for an age group over the last 45 years.  Based on points awarded for these Top Twenty swims, Edmonton Masters Swim Club is the Best Overall Club in Canada!

2017 National Records Summary

Statsman – Christian Berger has just posted the National Records summary for 2016.  Once again – for the 13th consecutive year – we have the most relay records (30; up 1 from last year) of any club in Canada!

In total, our club has 59 National Records (up 4 from last year); meaning that our club members collectively have 29 individual National Records.  Active club members with individual National Records include Barry Saretsky (9), Debbie Younger (8), Barry Lewis (3), Emily Flowers (2), and Jim McDonald (1).  Posthumous members with National Records include Tim Salpeter (1) and Larry Judge (1).  Past members who still have National Records include Michelle Cleveland (née MacWhirter) (1) and Cheryl Gibson (3).
