Masters Swimming Bulletin – October 2019

The 2019/2020 season is upon us and Masters Swimmers are back in the pools preparing themselves for a new season of competitions and personal challenges.

We have been busy at Swimming Canada preparing the new season and are pleased to announce several projects that are underway.

2020 CANADIAN MASTERS SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIPS

We are pleased to announce our partnership with Etobicoke Olympium Masters Aquatic Club (EOMAC) for the hosting of the 2020 Canadian Masters Swimming Championships to be held at the Etobicoke Olympium from May 22nd to 24th. The meet package is in the final stages of preparation and will be available shortly.

MAIL-IN CHALLENGES

Monthly mail-in challenges are planned for this season. Each month a challenge will be posted to be completed in the month. Swimmers/coaches will tabulate the results of the challenge and forward them to masters@swimming.ca. Results will be compiled using the age group distributions as per competitions. Prizes will be awarded each month. The details will be elaborated with each challenge.

The October challenge is available here. Swimmers are invited to swim a timed 50m of each stroke which will be added together for a 200 individual medley time. The results will be compiled for the 200 IM add up. Record your results here.
