Richard Roberts

Richard John Roberts (1942 – 2017), a former Edmonton Masters swimmer (1989? – 1998?) and active St. Albert Masters swimmer until his death, passed away this summer.  His family asked that you do one or more of the following in memory of him:

  • Eat an expensive, good quality chocolate bar
  • Enjoy at least three big scoops of ice cream
  • Watch a movie with subtitles including the credits at the end
  • Read a good book
  • Sing out of tune
  • Dance or clap off-beat
  • Swim a few laps in a Speedo
  • Do all the Decathlon events
  • Race Walk
  • Discuss Theology
  • Eat a bag of cookies in one sitting
  • Take blurry photographs
  • Enjoy more than one Brussel sprout
  • Listen to “The Weight” by The Band and/or “Lookin’ Out My Back Door” by Creedence Clearwater Revival
  • Play a game of chess
  • Love and be proud of your family and friends – life is too short for unhappiness and dissent
