Volunteers Required For Canadian Swimming Trials!

Good evening club members,

The Edmonton Keyano Swim Club is hosting the Fina sanctioned Canadian Swimming Trials and are in need of volunteers for various positions. If you are able to help out in any capacity it would be sincerely appreciated.

Edmonton Keyano is hosting the FINA sanctioned Canadian Swimming Trails which is the event where the Pan Pacific National Team will be decided. This will be a fast and exciting event which Edmonton is fortunate to host from July 18th to 22nd.
This event takes a large contingent of volunteers to run successfully so we are asking our swimming community to help out. Currently we are looking for volunteers to help in the following areas:
  • Club registration table
    • July 17th one shift from 3pm to 8pm
    • July 18th one shift from 7am to 11am
  • Ticket and Heat Sheet Sales – several shifts
    • July 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st and 22nd – 8am to 2pm
    • July 19th, 20th, 21st and 22nd – 4:30pm to 8pm
  • Field of Play – this is an on deck job, managing equipment such as back stroke ledges – no training required!
    • shifts available for all days, AM session from 8:45am to 2pm, PM sessions from 5:45pm to 8pm
  • Hospitality
    • shifts available for all days, AM session from 8:45am to 2pm, PM sessions from 5:45pm to 8pm
  • Officials Check-in
    • July 19th, 21st and 22nd from 8:30am to 10:30am
    • July 19th, 20th and 22nd from 4:45pm to 6:30pm
  • Deck Security
    • shifts available for all days, AM session from 7:30am to 2pm, PM sessions from 4:30pm to 8:30pm
  • Clerk of the course – must be trained and experienced in this role
    • there are a few shifts left, please contact Sophie and Jenn for availability
  • Chief Timekeeper – must be trained in this role
    • There are AM and PM shifts for every session
  • Timers – must be trained in this role
    • July 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st and 22nd from 9am to 2pm
    • July 20th and 22nd from 5pm to 8pm
  • Safety Marshal – this will be broken into two shifts per warm-ups – must be trained in this role
    • shifts available for all days, AM 8am to 8:55pm and 8:55am to 9:50am, PM 4pm to 4:55pm and 4:55pm to 5:50pm
